Joliet Technologies shop is a 10,000 square foot, highly efficient facility. Designed to integrate sales, engineering, assembly and testing of custom electrical control panels.

Joliet Technologies is a UL (Underwriters Laboratories) 508A Certified, Industrial Control Panels & Industrial Control Panels Certified for Canada (cUL).

We pride ourselves on providing fully engineered, custom control panels, for all areas of industrial and commercial use.

Joliet Technologies is a well-organized panel shop that exclusively manufactures control panels and variable speed drive systems. We purchase components at competitive rates resulting in cost-effective control solutions for you.

Joliet Technologies can either assist in the design of your custom panel or build to a customer's exact specifications. Some of the types of control panels we manufacture are: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) with integrated touch screen, operator stations, VFD, DC drive, switchgear, customized Motor Control Centers (MCC’s) and Electrical housed equipment rooms. There is no job too big or too small for our panel shop.

Experience

We have full-time electrical system designers on staff, along with our skilled panel technicians on the shop floor to accommodate your panel needs.

Our engineers and panel shop personnel alike, maintain continuing education of product lines. Whether it involves UL508A updates needed in engineering, new and improved product lines of control devices and/or component level control panel wire management & mounting practices. Vendors are often selected, based on the fact that they can provide up to date training seminars and improved product lines.

Engineering

Joliet Technologies can offer a wide range of engineered solutions to meet our customers’ industrial control panel needs.

In addition to working with our clients’ engineering staff, we engage with the Sales and Marketing staffs of our OEM clients, and with the Production and Maintenance personnel of our end users to be sure our customer's continued success is accomplished.

Our engineering staff has a proven record of writing and implementing proposals. In a turnkey environment, our engineers can evaluate a client’s existing system and prepare a technical proposal to improve or update the existing technology. With our client’s assistance, we can develop a working proposal that will meet the client’s technical needs and budget requirements.

Production

We design and build the finest control panels, using components from high quality manufacturers. We assemble basic electrical starters, operator stations and consoles, to form complex panel line-ups and variable speed drive packages.

Our quality program which is modeled after the ISO9001 Quality Assurance program has been audited and approved by independent companies, proving that all levels of the program meet or exceed industry quality standards. All labor functions – including engineering, procurement, CAD, assembly and test functions – are performed in-house for improved logistics. Engineered control panel packages are reviewed with the production team before the work enters the panel shop. Job folders, complete with parts list, cabinet/enclosure layout drawings, and electrical schematics are assigned to a member of the panel shop team. In most cases, this person who is assigned the job, completes the job from start to finish. A shop supervisor is always inspecting work during the building process to ensure quality and accuracy of the project.

Testing

All control panels are fully tested in our facility. Joliet Technologies has a test area capable of up to 600 VAC. The UL listing for 508A, E138282 requires certification of up to 600 VAC. Whether the purchased product is an operator station, simple control panel, PLC, drive cabinet or variable speed drive system all jobs are fully tested and documented as “Final Passed”. The need for thorough testing backed with documentation and verification is a must in today’s market. To meet all the various needs of electrical testing, Joliet Technologies has invested heavily in test equipment such as top of the line Fluke process multi-meters, oscilloscope meters and frequency generator/counter. Instruments such as Meggers, Hi Pots, Ductor and Power Analyzers which are geared more towards custom switchgear and MCC (Motor Control Center) testing are also available.

Joliet Technologies will provide standard or customized test sheets for more detailed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) that are customized to your request and review.
