Avtron Model K885 Speed/Draw System
|
The Avtron Model K885 Speed/Draw System is intended for both
drive controlled sectional machines and line shaft machines. It can be
used on several machines at once. The system accepts pulses from rotary
pulse generators, tachs, encoders and displays speeds and draws at
different remote stations installed on a serial link. The K885 is more
economical to install than previous systems, and is easier to interface to
mill-wide data collection systems. |

Reliability and Maintenance
The K885 is designed for use in mill environments, where the air is hot,
humid, and has trace amounts of corrosive compounds.
The K885 cabinet is totally enclosed, non-ventilated, and requires no
internal fan or air conditioning. It has no exposed contacts or switches and has
fewer circuit boards than older systems. The K885 includes complete built-in
self test functions to assist in calibration, set-up, and internal diagnostics.

The Avtron Model K885 can be provided with many types of remote
readout/selector stations. Installation is via a simple, 4-wire serial link.
