Avtron Frequency-to-Voltage converters provide analog voltages to DC drive
systems with the accuracy and stability of digital technology. Used in
conjunction with an Avtron tach,
encoder, pulse generator, the Avtron F-V converter is the best replacement
for older analog tachometers. Avtron F-V converters are easy to install and
economical.

Avtron pioneered the idea of the "brushless
tachometer" system. The analog tachometer is replaced by an Avtron
rotary pulse generator, which may be foot mounted, NEMA 56C face mounted
or shaft mounted. The frequency produced is exactly proportional to RPM,
irrespective of temperature, and is then converted to an analog signal.
This can be done with far greater accuracy than the output of any analog
tachometer. Combined repeatability and linearity is 0.002% and temperature
effect is insignificant. There are no brushes to contaminate and
specifications remain stable under demanding mill conditions. |
Avtron's Brushless Tachometer improves drive regulation and reduces
maintenance by directly replacing "precision" analog speed feedback
tachometers:

The Brushless Tachometer is considerably more accurate and is
maintenance-free. Output is an analog signal with polarity determined by
direction of rotation. This allows use of the Brushless Tachometer with nearly
any electric drive, static or rotating, irrespective of horsepower or
manufacturer, without modifying the drive in any way.
